The Bartons War Memorial Playing Fields

The Bartons War Memorial Playing Fields, also known locally as Middle Barton Playing Fields, are situated in Worton Road, Middle Barton, OX7 7EE. They are owned and managed by The Bartons Victory Memorial Hall Fund which is a registered charity (registration number 261459).

The objectives of the Fund are to provide sporting, leisure and social facilities for the residents of the parishes of Steeple Barton and Westcote Barton. These objectives are met by a combination of direct provision of onsite facilities and through two affiliated organisations: The Bartons Memorial Sports and Social Club and The Middle Barton Bowls Club.

The Fund relies heavily on volunteers to maintain the facilities and is largely dependent upon donations and grants for any replacements or additional items.
